STRUCTURE & ORGANIZATION

The Greek Wicca Tradition has a strict three-degree hierarchy where the priestly body holds distinct attributions according to their graduation, such as: conducting the religious rites; giving spiritual support and counselling to the people; And also instructing and prepareing the new priests for the religious service.

The basic structure of our tradition is called coven. The word coven derives from the british “covenant”, which means agreement, pact, assembly or congregation of people which often meet to worship the Gods and celebrate the sacred rites together. Each coven is an individual and autonomous cell governed by a hierarchical system and a conjoint of proper rules, but respecting and keeping the original principles of our tradition.

The coven is a spiritual family based in the votes of perfect love and trust, where loyalty, respect, friendship and secrecy are essential. The brothers and sisters of coven possess ties stronger then blood, and everyone must help themselves and watch over carefully for the general welfare. It’s inside the coven where the religious misteries of our tradition are transmited and the neophytes are trained and prepared for priesthood.

Each coven is conducted by a high-priestess or a high-priest. Only them have the proper graduation to stablish a coven, and as caretakers they have the prerogative to aprove or not the admission of new members; evaluate the personal growth of the neophytes and if they are ready, to perform the initiation ritual that anoints them priests capable of representing the Gods in the cerimonies.

According to the growth of member’s number and their needs, the mother-coven can branch itself in a new descending coven, as long as it’s conductec by a high-priest properly qualifyed, and the knowledges of the tradition must be passed without any changes, preserving the original culture and misteries of its lineage.
